InducTek Power Electronics customized special dry type transformers, phase-shift rectifier transformers, reactors, they were mainly applied in units of rectifier and inverter infrequency converters. These products are used in standardized and universal frequency converters, medium and high voltage converters for driving transmission.
Frequency converter (Variable-frequency drive, VFD) is a power control equipment using technique of frequency conversion and microelectronics to control AC motors via changing supplied frequency. VFI is mainly composed of rectifier (AC to DC), filter, inverter (DC to AC) units of brake and driving, detectors and microprocessors, etc. According to actual requirement of voltage and frequency of the motor, VFD adjusts the output voltage and frequency via on-off the IGBT inside. Thus the aim of energy saving and speed regulation reaches
Besides, there are many protect functions such as protections of over current, over voltage, over load, etc. With the industry automation improved continually, VFD is widely used.
Usually VFD is divided into four parts: rectifier, capacitor with large capacity, inverter and controller.
Rectifier : to change AC with certain frequency to DC.
Capacitor with large capacity: to store converted electric power.
Inverter : electronic switches composed of large power crystal valve converter DC into square wave with different frequency, width and amplitude.
Controller : according to set procedure, amplitude and impulse width of the square wave can be adjusted and stacked up to an approximate AC sine wave to drive a motor.
